This is how to parent teens.How to parent teens. The Christian parent has many responsibilities. You know the common ones like feeding, clothing, and providing for their every need. Notice I said need. Kids have many wants as do grown ups. The needs are what the parent is responsible for. The greatest need that a parent can provide is the child's spiritual need. Look at your kids and know that with out God as the center of their life....they have No life. Thats right...If you skip the spiritual need you are ultimately killing your children. Sorry to be so harsh with that statement but sometimes the truth hurts. I suggest a nightly Bible study in place of the TV. There really is not all that many good shows on the tube anyways. You won't miss much. What you will gain is a greater understanding of the Bible. Your kids will eventually sit still long enough to gain this as well. There are many great stories that can be read to them. These stories they will carry with them for life. Life will become eternal for them and that is what you are shooting for. That is what God has in mind for them. That is where your focus should be. Raise them in Gods word when they are young and when they grow they will not depart from it. You will also find other benefits from raising your kids this way. They will be obedient for you. Well more so then some other kids. They will be respectful. You probably will not even notice until others start complimenting you on their behavior. It is a great feeling. What about older kids? How do you parent teens? The type that are already disobedient. Here is the good news. You can still save them. As long as they are in your life you can influence them. Teens are all searching for their place. Both the good ones and the bad. It is your job to give the right influence. Some people might think that their kids are too far gone to change them now. That is wrong! They may be all tied up in bad things but the truth will set them free from those chains. It is all in that book that seems to big to read. I am not at all saying it will be easy for you. I am telling you that it is the only way for you to save them. You can not do it yourself. No matter what you think...you need help. Others may tell you to go see a counselor. I am telling you that God is the best counselor. He has all the answers! No PHD! No office. No bill at the end of the hour. His ear is open 24/7. Free of charge. He gives the best advise. It is all Good. Save your kids not only for today but for their life. Their eternal life. This is how you should parent teens. God Bless you.
