Husband Wife and what the Bible saysIf you do a search for " husband wife " in the Bible you will get alot of information back. Most of it has to do with who married who and divorce. In the new testament, Jesus makes it clear that divorce is not acceptable, except when unfaithfulness is involved. This was a big concern in his time because of the ongoing debate about the matter. That is why he was questioned about it. His answer was clear, divorce was allowed by Moses because people had no love in the heart. They did not know God. God is love. When people don't have God they don't have love. The lack of love makes the heart hard. Marriage comes from God. Genesis 2:24 When two people marry and they both know the Lord, the marriage is healthy and will work. If you treat the spouse the way God tells you too, the marriage will work. If you leave God out of the union that he created, it will no doubt be hard to stay together. Here are a couple of verses about how wives and husbands should be treating each other. 1 Peter 3:1-7, Colossians 3:18-24, Ephesians 22-33 Read these references from the Bible and apply it to your life. When the two of you do that, the marriage will be blessed. Find the Lord together and live as he commands. The union will be blessed and you will share a happy life together. I'm not saying that without God a marriage won't work. I'm just saying with God a marriage will be as it was designed to be.
